Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Why should I hire a makeup artist?
A: Hiring a professional Makeup Artist for your wedding day is definitely important because you want to look your most beautiful in your photographs. If you prefer to do your makeup yourself, I can show you how to achieve a long-lasting look for your special day. - Q: Do you offer bridal makeup consultations?
A: Yes, and I highly recommend that you book a consultation prior to booking your wedding makeup. There is a small fee involved as well. The trial is for brides only since this is the time she and I will discuss the makeup style she wants. - Q: What happens during the consultation?
A: We go through the details and time-line of your wedding day, including your hair, dress and wedding theme. From there, we will customize a look that fits you. The consultation includes a full-face makeup application. For best results, it’s also a good idea that you bring pictures of the exact look you want. Also, we recommend that you wear a white or ivory top to your consultation so that you can have a better idea of what the makeup will look like on your wedding day. - Q: How long does a makeup application take?
A: The bridal consultation takes a maximum of 2 hours. To avoid timing issues on the wedding day, please allow a minimum of 45 minutes for the bride and 30 minutes for each attendant. - Q: How long will the makeup last?
A: I use professional quality, photo-friendly makeup products followed by a finishing spray, (which is used to help with the longevity of the makeup) resulting in up to 12 hours of wear-ability. However, expect the occasional minor touch-ups, such as replenishing your lipstick or gently blotting your face every once in a while to remove any excess shine. - Q: How do I book you for my wedding?
A: I am now booking for the 2012 season. If you would like to book me for your wedding or special event, you can send an e-mail to naomi@styleyes.ca or you can fill out the contact form with your wedding details. Please note that a 50 % deposit, a completed contract and photo release form are required to secure and guarantee your wedding makeup services after the bridal makeup consultation;the remaining balance is due upon arrival on the day of the wedding. - Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, money orders and certified cheque only. - Q: How much notice is needed to reserve a booking?
A: None, although it is recommended to give at least two weeks notice for personal services, and 4-8 weeks notice for bridal bookings. - Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: You may cancel your booked service at anytime up to two (2) weeks before the date of service and only loose deposit. If you cancel within 48 hours prior to the service date, you will be charged the remaining 50% of the quoted rate. Please note that all cancellations must be made in writing.
