Keepin’ it Simple with Simple Skincare

For the last few weeks or so I have been testing out a few products from the Simple Skincare range that just landed here from across the pond. Touted as the UK’s #1 skincare range I was immediately intrigued as to why these products are so loved.

About the brand (taken from the website): What makes Simple® experts in sensitive skin? The Simple® brand was born in the UK in 1960 and was the first to create a cleansing product with no perfume and no colour. Seeing that summer is now upon us, I decided to try out the Refreshing Facial Wash Gel, the Light Hydrating Moisturizer, the Revitalizing Eye Roll On, the Vital Vitamin Night Cream and the Smoothing Facial Scrub. So far, I’m really impressed with how my skin is responding to this skincare range.

I used the cleanser at night only to remove the dirt, grime and makeup from my face. I like that it doesn’t use SLS or SLES as a foaming agent (it uses a coconut-based surfectant instead) , making this a mild foaming cleanser. I love that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling striped and that it doesn’t have any type of smell to it; like some other brands do. My face feels clean and fresh, which is the way that I like it.

Both of the moisturizers are amazing. The Light Hydrating Moisturizer gives me the right amount of moisture/hydration without being greasy. It’s a great moisturizer to use under your foundation as it sinks into the skin fairly quickly- providing that you exfoliate your skin as needed. The night moisturizer was a bit of a shock in that it has a cream/gel consistency; which I wasn’t expecting.  I use this moisturizer after an anti-aging serum and my skin looks and feels hydrated in the morning.

Smoothing Facial Scrub how do I love thee?! This is an amazing scrub. I usually find that most scrubs for sensitive skin don’t have much of a scrub factor. The Smoothing Facial Scrub is a cream-based scrub with rice granules. It’s isn’t too harsh and does an amazing job of exfoliating the skin.

Last but not least is the Revitalizing Eye Roll On. I love the way that this feels with I apply it. You don’t need much and it instantly feels cool when applied.

Overall, the products that I have tried are really good and I can totally see why it’s a favourite. My skin feels fresh and clean and I haven’t had any adverse reactions to the products that I have tried out so far.

Have you tried anything from the Simple Skincare range? I would love to know your thoughts!
