My Summer Essentials

When summer finally rolls around, it usually calls for lighter makeup. Most days it’s been so hot that I really haven’t been wearing anything but my spf50. When I do reach for products here are some of my favourites that keep me looking fresh all day.

1.MAC Face & Body Foundation in C7

This is a water-based, water-resistant foundation with moisturizing properties. This foundation is very light and lasts all day for me. It’s the perfect foundation for this hot hot weather that we’ve been having in Toronto these past few months.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Quenched

I’m really loving this lip balm especially because it has an spf 20 in it. Our lips are very delicate and need sun protection too.

3. Cover Girl Lash Blash 24HR Mascara

This mascara doesn’t give me the same kind of volume as the original Lash Blast mascara but it does last quite a while, that I dare say it’s better than a waterproof mascara. This doesn’t smudge or flake which makes it perfect for this time of year.

4. Annabelle’s Zebra Bronzing Powder in Haute Gold.

I normally wear this everyday as a highlighter but during the warmer months, I like to use this as my blush. This gives me a nice wash of colour that’s perfect for a no makeup, makeup look.

5. MAC’s Fluidline Eyeliner in Blacktrack

I normally skip eyeliner in the summer but when I do reach for it, I reach for my fluidline in Blacktrack. This liner is long-wearing and doesn’t smudge or flake on me.
