I’m still trying to wrap my head around this concept. For years, I’ve always been about “the brand name”, especially since I am now able to afford it…in moderation.
But is the brand name really that much better then the generic brand?
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
If it works; use it.

Written on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Happy Birthday To Me
Written on Saturday, September 19th, 2009Today’s my birthday and like usual, I have a full day of fun with friends and family planned. I will try and get pictures up tomorrow but if not then it will be some time this week. I have no idea on what “look” I want to wear as far as makeup goes. Last year I did a fall look but I’m thinking that a pretty and polished look would work well today. My friend Viki is coming to get me at 11:30 so I still have some time to decide before she get here. If you have any suggestions, please leave me a comment below. I hope that you have a great weekend!

I wanted to get your opinions on monocromatic makeup. When I apply makeup, either for myself for on other, people I like mix my cool and warm colours together because I find that it adds a bit of contrast as well as definition. I’m not so stuck on if your warm toned then you have to wear warm colours and vice versa. That said, I think that monochromatic looks can look really pretty and just as sophisticated as looks that are a mix of warm and cool tones. When you do your makeup, do you wear monochromatic colours or do you like to mix it?
Out & About
Written on Friday, July 10th, 2009Happy Friday Everyone!
I am enjoying having Friday’s off from work. It gives me a chance to spend some time with the hubs before he leaves for work as well as get some things done around the apartment. Today, I’m meeting up with my girl Courteney for lunch and we’re going to check out Urban Nails down on the Danforth; I’m in desperate need of a mani and pedi; and at $35 plus taxes for both, you really can’t go wrong. Expect a full review and pics of my nails some time over the weekend.
I also plan to hit MAC for to check out the Colour Craft collection. I misses out on the 226 brush from the BBR collection a few months back so I want to make sure that I pick up a few as well as a few of the MSFs. I don’t own any and there are a few in the collection that have caught my eye.
On the skincare front, I must say that I am really pleased with my decision to go back to using Origins products. There’s just something about it that really makes my skin feel nice and smooth. If I can swing it, I want to pick up a few more things from them: A Perfect World moisturizer, Night-A-Mins moisturizer and the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Plantidote serum.
I hope that you all enjoy your weekend!
